What to expect

The concept

Our fitness retreats are unique, because we want to make sure that not only you train hard (which you most certainly will…), but that you can also enjoy your vacations and discover our unique island. Therefore, the training sessions will very often take place outdoors. We will take you to the most stunning locations all over Fuerteventura to give you the possibility to enjoy the nature and to try activities that are very different from the ones you are used to doing at home. We will also ensure a great team spirit that will motivate you to push your limits even further.

Required fitness level

Our fitness retreats are suitable for all fitness levels. We know how difficult it is to start training, especially if you have not been active for a while, therefore we will provide a special support for the beginners or seniors. Our trainers are very professional and they have years of expertise, training beginners as well as professional athletes. Therefore, even the most advanced ones amongst you will be challenged with training sessions hard enough to take them to the next level.

To make sure that the training suits everybody’s expectations, the bootcamps and retreats will start with a 30-minute consultation with the trainer, during which you will define your fitness and dietary objectives. The results of this consultation will be taken into consideration during all the training sessions.

Training sessions

The training activities will be very diverse, including both cardio and muscular training with exercises for all main muscle groups, that will increase your strength and resistance.

They will usually include:

  • Running

  • Circuit training

  • HIIT

  • TRX

  • Yoga

  • Mountain biking or trekking activities

  • Stretching

Training will take place in groups, but if you are feeling a bit more adventurous, you can also try out different other activities (e.g., tennis, SUP, surf, kitesurf, salsa, etc.). In this case, you would have to pay a small supplement for the extra activities and we would also kindly ask you to inform us about your wishes at least 2 weeks in advance, so that we can arrange the activities for you.

Flights

Flights are not included in the price. There are very good flight connections to Fuerteventura island from various big European cities (including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, Barselona, etc.). You might also want to check out flights to Lanzarote, as Fuerteventura is very easily reached from there (30 minutes by ferry).

Accommodation

All the retreats take place in luxury villas that have been hand-picked by our team to make sure that that they have all the necessary amenities to guarantee you a week of utmost comfort.

For bigger groups (over 10 people) the retreats will take place in 4 or 5-star hotels that have been specifically chosen by our team members.

Nutrition

Food is an important part of training program, and we make sure that it is healthy and delicious at the same time.

All the meals will be prepared at the villa by a private chef, using, wherever possible, local and biological products. We will also organise one dinner at a restaurant (usually during the last evening), so that you can enjoy some typical Spanish cuisine and experience the Fuerteventura nightlife vibe.

We don’t believe in extreme dieting or food restrictions; therefore our fitness retreat is based on the idea of conscious and healthy food.

The menu is developed in a way to provide your body with nutritious and balanced food that is prepared with love and keeping in mind that you will have intensive training sessions several times per day. At the same time, every meal will be an experience, you will discover new tastes and new products.

We cater for different dietary requirements and restrictions, including vegetarians and vegans.

What to bring

To ensure that your stay with us is as comfortable as possible, that you feel safe during the training sessions, and simply to facilitate your packing, we strongly advise that you bring:

  • 2 pairs of training shoes

  • 2-3 shorts/leggings

  • 2-3 t-shirts

  • A fitness watch (optional)

  • Sunscreen (at least SPF 30)

  • A baseball cap

  • Sweatshirt

  • A light scarf (it can get cool and windy in the evenings)

  • A swimming suit

  • Comfortable clothes to wear between the trainings

  • Sunglasses

  • Biking shorts (obligatory) and shoes (optional)

  • A smart casual outfit to wear on the last night, when we are having a dinner in a restaurant
